Celebrating No Pressure Ulcers!
Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s medical/surgical and intensive care units had recent cause for celebration—they had zero Stage 2 or greater hospital-acquired pressure injuries for the month of August.
Claxton-Hepburn’s number of hospital-acquired pressure injuries is always lower compared to the national averages, but August was exceptional. This is a direct reflection of the excellent care our front line staff provides to our patients. Our nursing and support staff does an excellent job of identifying pressure ulcer risk early and implementing strategies for prevention.
